More Trite BBC Pseudo-knowledge

May 6th, 2008 · No Comments

Fuck you, BBC [again].

This article nearly made my cry and hit things with my own face. To quote:

Personal details of Facebook users could potentially be stolen, the BBC technology programme Click has found.”

NO, BBC. You have NOT found ANYTHING VAGUELY INTERESTING HERE.

If you watch the pathetic piece of misinformation embedded in the page, they simply say that ‘If you install a Facebook application, it can see your details, OMG!’

They even say themselves that it’s not enough to do any damage.

For fuck’s sake, BBC, Facebook explicitly WARNS you that applications can access your details and even let’s you CLICK A CHECKBOX TO ALLOW OR DENY ACCESS.

Is that research or journalism? Has this backward ‘Click’ show of theirs made some breakthrough discovery? No, that is what’s known as ‘Reading the fucking words in front of your fucking face’.

Everybody has known this for years, yet for some reason the BBC are making out that they have somehow ‘discovered’ something.

Seriously, wtf BBC?
